Great stand, but I wish it had a backside cover to hide cords, etc. By pdk7297 Great quality stand, decent price, but I wish that it had a back side cover to hide all of the cords of the eletronics that I have sitting on it. The wood is of a decent quality, and it has a high quality look and feel to it. It did take a while to put together, and I strongly recommend using a wood glue to adhesive the dowels into their respective holes. 0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Lovely, solid wood stand, but a bit unwieldy to assemble single-handedly. By M.D. Edwards I just received this TV stand last night (bought one for my birthday), and right away, was very impressed with the beauty of the solid wood of which this stand is composed. As is the case with much furniture shipped to the home, it was packed with reinforced cardboard and LOTS of styrofoam, which of course left small and medium-sized styrofoam bits on every single surface of the wood pieces. Once I got my kitten out of the box (he kept insisting on "helping" me unpack the pieces), and got my hands on a cheapie-cheapie dollar store microfiber-type duster, that residue was easily done away with.I unpacked all of the parts, checked for all of the cam locks, dowels, screws, etc, grabbed my #2 Phillips head screwdriver (required for assembly, but not provided), and read over the instructions packaged in the box. Although the instructions DO make it relatively clear on how to assemble the stand for those already familiar with how to use cam locks and the like, if you've never seen or placed a cam lock before, the lack of detailed information could pose problems, as can trying to assemble a 55 lb solid wood corner TV stand solo, at least if you're not the most beefy, strongest person around. Since I've put my fair share of furniture together, it wasn't terribly difficult, but it did give me a workout (sweat dripping and all), and sore muscles the next day...In order to ensure that everything would stay where it should, I also busted out my bottle of wood glue, to ensure that those short wooden dowels would stay where I wanted them to. This worked fine, and only seemed to pose a problem when I got to the third step of assembly, where I had a difficult time lining up all of the dowels and cam screws on the second side shelf of the unit, with the holes into which they were all supposed to go on what would end up being the bottom of the stand. I got exhausted and frustrated enough that I had to step away for fear of breaking something, and ended up removing my glued dowels (luckily, they had yet to set and dry in place). Once fresh, UNglued dowels were in, the rest of it came together pretty well and quickly, with minimal adjustment of cam locks over cam bolts. If you can get everything lined up PERFECTLY, the finished unit makes it pretty hard to see where and how it's been assembled, but there are a LOT of dowels, cam locks, and cam bolts to put in place to assemble this piece, and with 44 dowels, 22 each of said cam bolts and locks, and shelf stands and screws, you can imagine that there ARE a lot of little pieces to place for assembly, and in many cases, there's going to be some toggling and wiggling involved to get everything where it should be. I also saw that one of the holes that SHOULD'VE been drilled to accomodate a cam bolt at the front of the top shelf of the unit went unfinished, so a key support point of my stand is in question, but overall, once this piece was done, it's leaps and bounds more attractive than the cheapie-cheapie looking fiberboard TV stand that I'd gotten a few years back at my local Big Blue and gold electronics retailer. Finished, it's a beautiful piece, but if you're a single woman like me, you might want to bribe a big beefy man with dinner, and get him to (help you) put this together!A beautiful piece of solid wood furniture, but that discount in cost is

It was very easy to put together. It took my 22 yr. old son and I about 3 1/2 hours to assemble. The only issue we had was putting the top piece on (last step) where it's necessary to line up 8 pins. It took a little time to line them up, but the finished product is well worth the effort. Once complete, this furniture looks far more expensive than it is. We had no difficulty with the cams that some other reviewers had. Our TV and DVD components all fit nicely and all the cords are now hidden from view. I would highly recommend this credenza. Also, once ordered, the estimated delivery date was 7-10 days, but the boxes (2) arrived in 3 days. I would definitely order from this seller again. Right panel was not put together properly by company, so I had to order another one online which was easy and it was delivered fairly quickly. The material is very nice, arrived in good condition and nice finish. That said, the construction workmanship leaves much to be desired. Pieces are mis-aligned, holes were milled to the wrong specification, wooden dowels were lined up against cantilever locks, etc. Essentially, I had to do a lot of creative assembly/ manipulating of the finished piece that is not ideal for either looks or stability. On Oct. 30, 2009, I purchased a WAVS 333 and have regretted it, since. Bell'O is advertised as "simply...beautiful", when in actuality Bell'O surely means "just another piece of cheap Chinese junk": Cheap laminated wood products, cheap veneer (Bell'O could learn something from IKEA), and no quality control (something China hasn't had since Emperor Qin). ( Ex.the little wooden dowels slip nearly all the way in the dowel holes, leaving only an 8 mm lip). In addition, I would almost swear I can smell the urea-formaldehyde preservative in the wood product. Incidentally, there is a meaningless inspection sticker on the underside of the base. After watching Bell'Os' assembly video, I decided to pay more for the "No Tools Assembly" convenience of the WAVS 333. When in actuality, I wound up having to use several tools; a screwdriver, a hand drill and tiny bit to re-drill holes for the hinge screws, a rubber mallet to beat the cabinet sides into position, and a level to find out why the cabinet doesn't sit "square". Immediately after the two 2 Fed Ex delivers brought the box into my residence (the box weighs 125lbs), I opened the pristine shipping box and spread out the pieces to assemble. Once I started putting parts against the wall, I noticed that the very first part (part 1) had a serious crack in the inner right panel, and that I could not proceed with the assembly. Part 1 is a critical part and was so badly fractured, that the opposite side of the damaged side was bowed out. Immediately, I emailed and called Bell'O support to get a replacement part 1. Initially, I was told "sorry about that, but it must have been damaged in shipping". I explained to the tech that the box is undamaged and the other pieces in the box, including the glass doors are fine. The support tech said the replacement order would be sent to the warehouse and they would ship out the substitute part. I gave the support tech my email address and phone number and to inform me of the tracking number. I kept checking in with Bell'O support, because, I suppose, they were too busy to call customers. The warehouse decided that they were NOT responsible for the damage, after all. They said it was due to Fed Ex. But, because they are magnanimous they would replace just the broken panel. On the seventh day, the replacement part arrived, but the hinge holes in the replacement part are out of alignment with the original panels holes, and I would have to remove the hinges and reset them in another location on the panel. Yes, very confusing, and needless to say, frustrating and infuriated. There is more to this saga, but it is much too tedious. In all, it took two weeks to assemble this thing, and it still isn't square. Fortunately, the locking mechanisms are holding it all together. Like the "bursting at the seams suitcase" in a Bugs Bunny cartoon, I'm hesitant to unlock the locking mechanism, because I am afraid the cabinet will become unhinged and explode. If you are shopping around for a cabinet, definitely stay away from Bell'O products. Save up your pennies. Buy one that is pre-assembled. It will cost more, and it will probably be made of Chinese products, but it will be worth it in the end. By not having to deal with the grief of damaged parts and flawed replacement parts, you will have a cabinet you can rely on and enjoy. Even better if you can purchase it from Amazon.com. Jones I have purchased and assembled literally dozens of similar items over the years. In terms of quality, this piece of junk rates at the bottom. The fastening hardware was flimsy, and pretty much made it impossible to properly assemble the bookcase. I tried everything, and I have quite an adequate selection of tools available, but there was no way that this unit was ever going to be satisfactory. Pros. * At first touch/sight, the particle board looks like solid wood. * It was the only thing I could find for the price to hold my 73" DLP TV. * Seems Durable * Easy to assemble. * It's a nice good height and holds most of my equipment (receiver, cable box, two game systems, and some baskets with accessories). * My wife, who has expensive tastes, isn't appalled. Cons. * Particle Board * When I wiped it down, for the first time, some of the stain came off onto the rag. * It arrived in two shipments (three boxes) 3 days apart. * The large center piece delivered by fedex ground, arrived opened, (basically the top box was not attached to the rest of it) thankfully nothing was damaged. * The dimensions of the shelves are only 19" x 19" (give or take a half inch). * The three pieces do not connect to one another. * The shelves are not adjustable. Unfortunately the quality is poor and the table when put together is not strong as a result. Although it took a while to assemble, the assembly was relatively straightforward and easy. In most areas they use camlocks and cambolts instead of screws to attach the different panels. You insert the cambolt into a hole in one piece and then insert the camlock through the other piece and turn it into place. While this makes for easier assembly the locking mechanism doesn't work well so the pieces don't fit together securely. I had a couple of areas where they didn't fit properly and a few areas where the camlocks fell out even though they were inserted properly. Opting for screws in place of the cambolt-camlock combo would have been a much better decision by the manufacturer. I would have returned this table, but after spending a couple of hours assembling it I didn't have the energy to take it apart. Plus I doubt I could have figured out the puzzle of getting the pieces to fit snugly in the box it was shipped in. My guess is the hassle and inconvenience factor would prevent most people from returning this product. See all 1 customer reviews...
