Burge pretty simple to assemble but even before it was assembled, there were several scratches on the finish. I guess the covering for the pressed wood is thinner than most of them. When putting it together we accidently banged a couple of finished pieces against each other and it didn't scratch. I catch my son playing with his hot wheels on top of this every day and it hasn't scratched yet. Very pleased with the color as well. Not SUPER dark like some espresso's but a nice warm dark color. The tv fits perfectly on the table. There is room on the side for movies and the drawers are nice for storing all of our gaming controllers, games and accessories. The open area for your componenets is very large. We have enough room for our cable box, blu-ray player, vcr and wii with room to spare. I would definitely recommend this product. It looks nice and was easy to put together (it took me about 1.5 hours). The only complaint that I have about it is that there are several bolts that are visible on the sides of the console where the dvds can be stored. They supply plenty of faux wood stickers to cover these, but it looks kinda cheap. (Our console is in a corner so you can't really see the sides very much). See all 1 customer reviews...

Fallin I was looking for a nice looking TV stand, with plenty of storage for my DVDs, and this fit the bill. Most of the pieces in furniture stores were $700 and out of my price range. At just under $300, this one was about $100 more than the ones at Walmart/Target, but much nicer looking and larger. So for the money, I think this is a great piece. It is MDF, so not as sturdy as solid wood, and it scratches a little more easily. It had a couple of nicks when we took it out of the box, but nothing really noticable. It took my boyfriend several hours to put it together by himself. The only thing that was faulty, is that the magnet that is supposed to hold the doors shut, does not quite line up correctly on the left door, so the door doesn't catch the magnet and it doesn't stay shut all the way. But it's only open about half an inch, so not noticable to most people. We have a 47in LED TV centered on top of it, and there's still several inches of space on either side of the TV. I am a single mom and needed something in my kitchen for storage. This item appeared to be just what I needed. I read the reviews and was nervous to spend all that money! Be forewarned: this shelf will take a LONG time to put together... the holes for the screws are hidden and close to the wood, which means you can only make one tiny fraction of a turn with the provided allen wrench at a time. Looks nice, shoddy construction By Johnson The cabinet and wood finish looks nice, and as advertised the piece is made out of real wood. Once I had the thing built, I was pretty happy with it, but I found the building experience to be pretty disappointing. The pieces showed up in a flat pack box Ikea style, but I have to say that the assembly didn't proceed as smoothly as what I'm used to. The construction is mostly wood pegs and wood screws, and the thing showed up short two pegs. I had the general impression as I unpacked the box that little care went into making sure everything needed was in there. The two sheets from the assembly instructions were on opposite ends of the box, which was a minor annoyance. Finally, one of the shelves showed up with the paneling lifted, necessitating quite a bit of glue to fix. At the end of the day, I like the furniture.... but I was pretty irritated with it while I was putting it together. 7 of 8 people found the following review helpful. Upon final glance, edges did not meet, corners did not touch, and I could see light beaming through the edges. So I started back at square one. I told myself hey--don't get worked up, you just didn't tighten this or that or didn't do something right. Oh no--a bit later, assembled again, it was in fact, not a 'square' piece of furniture as in edges don't meet properly or align and I'm pissed. I can't even begin to express how frustrating it is to spend almost two hours with the POS tv stand only for it to be such shoddy construction. Then I told myself I'd never buy Winsome again. But wait--I had forgotten I bought a Winsome night stand, which when assembled cracked within a week. Also, lets not forget the bookcase I bought, also in the Espresso color, which doesn't match this 'Espresso' color at all. I thought about disassembling it and shipping the crap back to Amazon, but that would be a ton of work, and then I'd likely get shipped back out another 'made in thailand' piece of crap. I have to say, I'm not a frequent review writer, but how terrible this product is urged me to get online right away and let others know so they dont make the same mistake. I was looking for a small unit to replace my larger one. I can fit my receiver, bluray and DRV in it with no problems. It is deep enough for the cables to be hidden as well. I could have fit one more component but it would have just fit and had clearance issues opening the bluray tray. It is designed perfectly for component width also. This is all solid wood and the back panel has a cutout for cables in the center so both the top and bottom areas use the same hole. BTW: The shelf is not adjustable but you could probably leave it out if you wanted to. 4 of 4 people found the following review helpful. Just Right By S. It isn't clear from the picture and doesn't say anywhere in the description that it is esspresso, not black, which I had originally wanted, but the brown is very dark and nice and it actually looks better than black would have. It was pretty easy to put together and the instructions were clear, provided you have already put something together with CAM locks/ screws before (Most of IKEA"S stuff is constructed using them). Size advertised is completely incorrect. All three of the tables were much smaller than the deminsions given with the product. There are several blemishes on each table. The blemishes I can deal with but the incorrect size is very upsetting. I have not sent them back because the price was relatively low and I do not want to bother paying shipping to return. The tables could have been very nice but it is the size issue. This table especially is for an entrance way and it measures 23" but shows 36" in the product description. I will not buy again. Poor Quality Control By Patrick Steele The overall design of this furniture is great -- and when assembled it is sturdy and stable. However, the quality of the finish is very poor. While some pieces, including the lower shelf, have a good finish, the top piece of the table had significant imperfections (ok, really obvious knot holes and flaws) that were poorly patched and stained. Furthermore, the final finish coat on the tabletop was quite poor -- with areas of rough, poorly sanded edges and flat gaps of missed lacquer. It seems longer if you write something for a lower price - you get it in pieces, and that you are complications - such as bolts that do not fit. It felt like sending it back - but I did not know it was so damn heavy and I could not get the box back together. So here's what I did. I loved the table - minus the lower shelf (threw). There is a fifth round in the middle of the bottom shelf that looks a little weird, depending on the viewing angle of the picture, but it does not bother me. Terrible craft first by CRD, if I did not have this table with an Amazon voucher, I was spending excited so much money and can not return because the price of return is almost as much as the table (because it is difficult and expensive to ) transport. When he came in the mail, the table had scratches and stains. My boyfriend has tried to assemble to make only the cavity were stripped and needed to go to Home Depot to get new, was still able to have the legs to block with new screws. So we had to use Gorilla glue in the holes for the legs to stay in place for the lower shelf of the table. All other pieces assembled OK. But in reality it is not assembled properly, I'm afraid to put too much weight on it. And 'ashame to spend money on a table, you can not use fully. Do not waste your money on this product! The top combines the four legs with large screws (2 screws in each leg). An inexpensive wrench is included in the package, but I recommend using a ratchet set. It would have lasted about 5 minutes to ensure each of the 8 bolts, if I had used the key. Instead, it took about 10 minutes total to see all ratchet 8 with the final product is beautiful and is a big piece of my mail. The platform is pressed partical wood or cardboard and begin to split in the congregation. The instructions are not easy to understand. The color is described.
