Burge pretty simple to assemble but even before it was assembled, there were several scratches on the finish. I guess the covering for the pressed wood is thinner than most of them. Surprisingly Very Nice Quality By SLC Took a bit to put together, directions a bit confusing but we figured it out. It's actually a very sturdy piece and a pretty good quality. When putting it together we accidently banged a couple of finished pieces against each other and it didn't scratch. I catch my son playing with his hot wheels on top of this every day and it hasn't scratched yet. Very pleased with the color as well. Not SUPER dark like some espresso's but a nice warm dark color. Bought baskets at Bed Bath and Beyond that fit perfectly in the cubbies to hold toys. We've had it a few weeks and we are very pleased with it. See all 4 customer reviews...
