I was looking for a small unit to replace my larger one. I can fit my receiver, bluray and DRV in it with no problems. It is deep enough for the cables to be hidden as well. I could have fit one more component but it would have just fit and had clearance issues opening the bluray tray. It is designed perfectly for component width also. This is all solid wood and the back panel has a cutout for cables in the center so both the top and bottom areas use the same hole. BTW: The shelf is not adjustable but you could probably leave it out if you wanted to. 4 of 4 people found the following review helpful. Just Right By S. Brooks I was looking for an end table that could hold TV components for a long time and this was the only one I could find that was small enough. It isn't clear from the picture and doesn't say anywhere in the description that it is esspresso, not black, which I had originally wanted, but the brown is very dark and nice and it actually looks better than black would have. It was pretty easy to put together and the instructions were clear, provided you have already put something together with CAM locks/ screws before (Most of IKEA"S stuff is constructed using them).
